Bananas Foster

Ingredients

1 ripe banana, sliced in 1/4″ slices

1 Tbsp butter

1 Tbsp maple syrup

2 (heaping) Tbsp chopped pecans

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

vanilla ice cream (dairy free, or frozen yogurt)

Directions

1. Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add the maple syrup and heat until it begins to bubble slightly. Gently stir in the sliced bananas, coating them with the butter/syrup mixture. Cook for 1-2 minutes.


2. Add the pecans to the bananas and cook for 1 minute more. Remove from heat and gently stir in the vanilla extract.


3. Serve warm over vanilla ice cream.
