Apple Crumble

Ingredients

6-7 apples peeled and sliced

3 tablespoons pure maple syrup

2 tablespoons Sarah’s gluten free flour blend

2 tablespoons lemon juice

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon


crumb topping

1 cup gluten free flour blend

1 cup gluten free old fashioned rolled oats

1/2 cup almond flour

1/4 cup coconut sugar

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon sea salt

6 tablespoons refined coconut oil, solid

1/4 cup pure maple syrup

Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Prepare 8x8-inch square baking pan by spraying with nonstick cooking spray.

In large bowl, add peeled and sliced apples, maple syrup, flour blend, lemon juice and cinnamon. Toss gently to coat apples. Pour into prepared baking pan.

To make crumb topping, whisk together flour blend, oats, almond flour, coconut sugar, cinnamon and salt in mixing bowl.

Add coconut oil and pure maple syrup. Using fork, mix until crumb topping comes together.

Top apples with even layer of crumb topping, breaking up large clumps with fingers. Bake apple crumble 40-45 minutes, until bubbly and golden brown.

Place apple crumble on cooling rack to cool slightly. Serve warm.
